    App needed, fees, and personal information leaving the USA to multiple parties! This unit does not give you EKG readings without jumping through a bunch of hoops, and none of that is listed on the product page or I would not have ordered it! Further, they ask for a payment method before you can sign up, an outside physician who reads your first EKG before sending it to you, and you must agree that medical information will be collected and sent to outside parties, and outside the USA! You can opt out later, but they already have your personal information! The app would…

    Very poor advertising copy – I don’t think the advertising copy on the Omron product page made it clear that you cannot use this unit out of the box. There’s apps to download, third party contractors, monthly fees, privacy issues involved.Also, many of the elderly friends of mine who would find a simple at-home EKG a useful part of their health protocol don’t have smart phones.     EKG feature is only accessible via app I really thought this BP monitor was the one that I could use for years and years., but then I found that the EKG feature can only be used and accessed via the app on a cell phone. My last BP monitor is 10 years old and running strong.
